Contemporary science offers only limited medications to treat skin diseases and Ayurveda instead offers a holistic approach to treat skin disorders. Understanding Dosic dominance, nature of the skin lesion, assessment of Agni, mala, ama, and doshic level becomes important criteria while treating skin diseases. knowledge of different causative factors, diet also plays an important role apart from purification therapy for a successful treatment. hence in my presentation I will elaborate on the understanding of different skin diseases, assessment methods, different criteria, treatment principles and discuss the successfully treated cases through ayurveda.
